Practical Training For Care, Support & Educational Environments

RSDO Training provides practical, experience-led training for organisations working across health and social care, support services and educational environments throughout the UK.

Our training is designed around the realities staff face within day-to-day working environments, helping organisations build confidence, improve understanding and better support both staff and the individuals in their care.

With experience supporting more than 700 care settings and training thousands of staff over the years, RSDO Training delivers training that is practical, supportive and grounded in real-world experience rather than generic theory or purely compliance-focused delivery.

Established in 2013, RSDO Training has continued to grow through repeat business, referrals and long-standing relationships developed across the care and support sectors.

Training Designed Around Real Working Environments

Every organisation operates differently, which is why training should reflect the environments staff actually work within every day.

RSDO Training works across a broad range of environments, including:

  • care homes
  • nursing homes
  • supported living services
  • residential care settings
  • dementia care environments
  • mental health services
  • learning disability support services
  • children’s homes
  • schools and educational settings
  • housing associations
  • behaviour-focused and high-support environments

Working across such a wide range of services over many years has provided valuable insight into the different pressures, behaviours, communication challenges and operational realities staff teams may encounter.

Supporting such a broad range of organisations over many years also provides valuable understanding of the different behaviours, communication challenges, staffing pressures and practical situations staff may experience across the sector.

Our aim is always to deliver training that feels relevant, realistic and supportive to the people attending it.

Training Built Around Real Working Environments

A Practical & Supportive Approach To Training

At RSDO Training, we believe effective training should build confidence, encourage understanding and remain relevant to the realities staff experience within their roles.

Training is designed to encourage discussion, practical understanding and realistic learning rather than relying heavily on theory-based or box-ticking approaches.

Our approach focuses on:

  • practical understanding
  • communication and confidence
  • supportive learning environments
  • realistic working situations
  • staff awareness and safety
  • person-centred approaches
  • helping staff feel better prepared within their roles

We understand that many staff work within demanding and often emotionally challenging environments, which is why training should feel supportive, accessible and relevant to the people attending it.

The aim is not simply to deliver compliance-focused or box-ticking training, but to provide realistic, supportive and experience-led training that staff can apply within real working environments.

Training also draws upon recognised approaches and methodologies where relevant, including learning from Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care Dementia Workshops.

Delivered By An Experienced Trainer

Training is delivered by Andy Williams, whose background spans decades of teaching, coaching and frontline professional experience.

Alongside many years spent within the police service as both a tutor and sergeant, Andy has also worked extensively across health and social care environments, supporting thousands of staff and working with organisations across more than 700 care settings over the years.

This broad experience helps ensure training remains grounded in practical understanding, realistic situations and the day-to-day realities staff face within modern care and support environments.

Andy holds qualifications as a First Aid Trainer, Moving & Handling Trainer and Physical Intervention Trainer, alongside a Level 3 Award in Education & Training.

Flexible Training Delivery

RSDO Training provides nationwide onsite and remote training delivery depending on the needs of the organisation and course requirements.

We understand that care and support environments often operate around shift patterns, staffing pressures and changing operational demands, which is why flexibility forms an important part of our approach.

Training can be arranged around:

  • onsite delivery
  • remote or Zoom-based sessions
  • daytime training
  • evening training
  • night staff training

Certificates of attendance can be provided across training courses where required. Our aim is always to make training accessible, practical and workable for organisations and staff teams alike.

Training Delivered With Confidence

RSDO Training operates with current DBS certification, safeguarding procedures and appropriate insurance arrangements in place. Additional associate trainers supporting delivery also hold DBS checks where required, helping organisations feel confident in the training they receive.

This is the perfect page for this because it’s the parent training page.

Why Choose RSDO Training
